Jaan Bhi Jahan Bhi – Reopening of Restaurants
In this I-CAN Conversation we had Mr. Shashikant Shetty, Ex Secretary of the Indian Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHAR) and Mr. Siddhartha Tandon who is the Brand Ambassador of Beverages, Food Services India Pvt. Ltd. as our guests. The session was facilitated by Ms. Jenisha Kiri from the Communications department of I-CAN and Ms. Hargun Kaur, a news anchor from The Fourth Pillar. This I-CAN Conversation was regarding the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry tackling with the challenges created due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Restaurants provide employment to many people and industry have been hit hard financially after being shut because of the virus. The Indian Restaurant Industry is worth Rs. 75,000 crores and grows at an annual rate of 7% which makes a contribution towards economic growth. Therefore, it is really important to discuss the ways that this industry would work in such difficult and changing times.
