Santoshi Laha from Balrampur, Purulia, West Bengal is a widow with four small children to feed. The lockdown caused by the COVID crisis has had dire consequences for the family as all sources of earning and food diminished gradually for them. Their plight was registered on the I-CAN portal and informed to warrior Beauti Chakraborty from Purulia. She then took help from an NGO working locally, HOPE Trust, and ensured that ration and groceries are delivered to the family.
