IEA Trust is an NGO based in Pondicherry that recently joined the I-CAN network. The NGO was working with women living in the slums of Chennai. The NGO had procured some dry ration and other essentials from the underprivileged women but was unable to transport it from Pondi to Chennai and reached out to the I-CAN portal with this need. They were then connected to Vijayalakshmi, our Warrior from Chennai. Vijaylakshmi took up the task of resolving their needs on priority basis. She reached out to the SSP of Pondicherry and informed him about the requirement. The SSP then visited the NGO and very arranged a Postal car, belonging to the mail services, to facilitate the inter-state transport of ration supplies. The NGO, thus managed to transport dry ration from Ponicherry to Chennai, ensuring food and health of 66 women in the slum of Gandhi Nagar and Perumpakkam, by the postal car, with assistance from our warrior.
